 The
Quartet performs frequently for weddings, celebrations,
religious services, and gives occasional concerts and
benefits. Its members come together with a mutual love for
music and the joy of having others share that love. They are
happy to suggest music for your special occasion.
The
Exeter String Quartet was founded in 1983 as a result of a
chance meeting at a Chamber Music Workshop in Ashland,
Oregon. These residents of Oakland are avid chamber music
enthusiasts and are involved in a variety of professions:
Christine was a middle manager for the Social Security
Administration, and is the ESQ business manager. Richard is
President of Images Sales, Inc., marketing agents for
Polaroid Corporation. Dorothy is the first grade teacher at
Corpus Christi School in Piedmont and teaches string methods
at Holy Names College, as well as privately. Dan is a health
care professional specializing in Orthopedic Radiology at
Kaiser Hospital in Oakland.
